Rubik’s Cube:
Today, Friday 6th December 2013, I began to create my Rubik’s Cube. I started by creating the cube shape with 9 faces on each side.
Today, Wednesday 11th December 2013, I carried on creating my Rubik’s Cube. I extruded each of the 9 faces on each side to make it look like the stickers on the Rubik’s Cube.
Today, Friday 13th December 2013, I finished extruding the faces. I then made the whole of the cube black by adding a texture. Once I did that, I coloured in the squares that I extruded in the colours of the Rubik’s Cube.
Clock:
Today, Friday 10th January 2014, I began to create my clock. I started by creating a sphere shape to give my clock a 3D look.
Today, Wednesday 15th January 2014, I began to create the hands for my clock. I started by creating a cube shape and then shaped the top of it to give it a point.
Today, Friday 17th January 2014, I create the casing for my clock and the legs for my clock. I created a cylinder shape and then added edge loops to give my clock case and legs a clean design.
Today, Wednesday 22nd January 2014, I created the bells on the top of my clock. I created a cylinder shape to hold the bells and I used a sphere shape and halved it to make the bells.
Today, Friday 24th January 2014, I finished creating my clock. I then added the textures to my clock by adding colour to it and added text to my clock.
Cupboard:
Today, Wednesday 5th February 2014, I began to create my cupboard. I started by creating a cube shape with faces for the doors and draws.
Today, Friday 7th February 2014, I began to create the doors and doors for my cupboard. I created a cube shape for the doors and I used a cube shape to create the draws and extruded the faces to create the depth in the cupboard and draws.
Today, Wednesday 12th February 2014, I finished creating my cupboard. I then added the textures to my cupboard by adding colour to it to give the cupboard a wooden look and to give the trimming a metallic look.
Retro Phone:
Today, Friday 14th February 2014, I began to create my retro phone. I started by creating a cube shape and then extruding the faces the face to form the base of the retro phone.
Today, Wednesday 19th February 2014, I created the phone to sit on top of the base. I used a cylinder shape and extruded and bended the faces to form the phone shape.
Today, Friday 21st February 2014, I created the dial to go on the base of the retro phone. I used the cylinder shape to create the dial. I then selected some of the faces on the cylinder and deleted them to create the number holes.
Today, Sunday 23rd February 2014, I finished creating my retro phone. I added colour to my phone to make it look realistic. I used a blue colour for the phone and body and I used a white colour for the dial.
Plane:
Today, Tuesday 25th February 2014 I began to create my plane. I began by creating a cube shape to create the body of the plane and then moulding it into the shape of the plane using the image planes.
Today, Friday 28th February 2014, I started to create the lift for my plane. I began by using a cube to create the platform and then a cylinder for the poles. Once I created one pole, I duplicated it to make the other pole.
Today, Monday 3rd March 2014, I finished creating my plane and added the colour to my plane to make it look realistic. I added various colours to make the plane colourful and unique.
Bed:
Today, Wednesday 5th March 2014, I began creating my bed. I started by creating a cube shape to create the bed frame for my bed.
Today, Thursday 6th March 2014, I carried on creating my bed. I started to create the legs for my bed by extruding the faces from the base of the bed.
Today, Friday 7th March 2014, I began to crate the mattress for my bed. I used a cube shape and made it a bit smaller than my bed frame.
Today, Saturday 8th March 2014, I create the pillows for my bed. I started by creating a cube shape and then creating a pillow shape. Once I made one pillow, I duplicated it to create the other pillow.
Today, Wednesday 12th March 2014, I began to create the headboard for my bed. I create the head board by extruding the faces from the frame of the bed and then I create a plank to go on top of the pillars.
Today, Friday 14th March 2014, I created two extra pillows and the duvet for my bed. I created the two other pillows by duplicating the pillows that I had already created. I created the duvet by creating a cube shape. Firstly, I had to make the whole of my bed except the duvet a Passive Collider so that the duvet wouldn’t go through the object. Once I created the cube shape, I added an nCloth to the cube to give the shape a cloth material so that it looks like a realistic duvet. I had to play around with some of the features on the nCloth to make it fit the bed.
Today, Wednesday 19th March 2014, I finished making my bed. I added colour to the bed frame, mattress, pillows and duvet.
Bedroom:
Today, Friday 21st March 2014, I began to create the bedroom for my animation. I began by creating a cube shape and making it a large size so that I could fit all my objects in there. I then deleted the top face of the cube so that I could see inside the room and start adding my objects in. Also, I added a blue colour to my room because that was the colour I wanted my room to be.
Today, Wednesday 26th March 2014, I began to add some of the objects I had made into my bedroom, along with different assets such as, the skirting around the room, the wooden flooring and posters to go on the walls.
Today, Friday 28th March 2014, I carried on adding objects and assets into my bedroom. Also, I made a door using the cube shape and a door frame to go around it.
Today, Wednesday 2nd April 2014, I created a window frame around the window in my room. I created the window frame by making a cube shape. Furthermore, I put an image plane outside the window and added an image of Piccadilly Circus so that my room was located in London.
Today, Friday 4th April 2014, I began to add lighting into my room. I added an ambient light to give light in the whole room. Moreover, I added an area light above the two signed football shirts in the so that the light shinned down on them making it standout and giving it a personal touch.
Today, Wednesday 16th April 2014, I began to animate my objects within my bedroom. Also, I began to use the camera tool to create my animation. I used the playblast to preview the animation I had created.
